2020 Annual Meeting
All members are cordially invited to attend the COPFCU 2020 Annual Meeting to be held on Tuesday, March 17th at 4:00 P.M. The meeting will be held at the credit union’s Queensgate location at 959 W. 8th Street, Cincinnati.
2020 Nominees for Board of Directors
The following individuals have been nominated to serve a three-year term on the Board of Directors of COPFCU.
Mark Brown, Current Chairman of the Board of Directors
Mark Brown began his career with the Cincinnati Police Department (CPD) in 1967 and joined the credit union the same year. While working for CPD, Mark received a Bachelor of Science degree from UC, then went on to graduate from the FBI National Academy. Mark began volunteering with COPFCU in 1983 and has served on the Board of Directors since 1989. Mark retired from CPD in 1994 as a Sergeant. During his time at CPD, Mark served as the President of the Police Supervisor’s Association and on the advisory committee to the Cincinnati Human Relations Commission. Mark was also a member of the FOP wage committee. After retiring from CPD, Mark served as a Change Agent Chief in Ft. Wright and Dayton, Kentucky Police Departments until 2006. Mark lives in Ft. Wright, Kentucky with his wife, Pam, and son, Shawn.
Tom Prem, Current Secretary of the Board of Directors
Tom is a lifelong resident of Cincinnati. He attended UC and received an Associate’s Degree in 1970. After completing his studies, Tom was drafted into the US Army in 1970 and served in Vietnam. He received an honorable discharge in 1971. The same year, Tom was hired by the Cincinnati Police Division and was promoted to Specialist in 1981. Tom served in Districts One, Two and Three, District Two Investigative Unit, K-9 Unit, Special Operations, Planning Section, Neighborhood Officer Unit, and the Special Events Unit. Tom retired in 2001 after 30 years of service. He joined COPFCU in 1973. In 1997, Tom volunteered to serve on the Supervisory Committee and in 2005 Tom became Chairman of that committee. Today, Tom is the Secretary of the Board or Directors.
Bill served on the Board of Directors for the Northwest Employees Federal Credit Union since 1986. Bill has continued to serve on the COPFCU board since the merger of the two credit unions in March 2007. Bill is a graduate of Ohio State University. He taught math in the Northwest Local School District for 35 years and is now retired. Bill is married to Nancy and they have five children and five grandchildren.
