Dear Members, 

I remain excited and energized to be the new President/CEO at COPFCU. Many of you have graciously welcomed me to the credit union. I am forever grateful for the warm welcome I have received from you, and I truly feel blessed to be working for you, the credit union team members and board. 

A new President/CEO also means changes and you will certainly experience some positive changes as I learn more about your desires for new products, service delivery channels and locations. Today, I would like to let you know of two member-friendly changes to our fees. 

Effective October 1st, we are eliminating the official check fee when you are requesting the check to be payable to yourself or your joint account holder. The $5 fee will still be charged if the check is made payable to a third party and your member rewards status is value or classic. Premier Member Rewards members are never charged for official check fees.

In addition, we are reducing the Automated Transfer Fee from $5 to $2. This fee is charged when there are insufficient funds in your checking account to cover a payment and funds must be transferred from your Savings or Money Market to cover the payment. As a reminder, the $2 Automated Transfer Fee saves you from being charged the $27 insufficient funds fee (NSF). To avoid the Automated Transfer Fee altogether, we encourage you to manage your accounts daily using the Mobile Banking App or Online Banking. Funds can be transferred to your checking 24×7 at your convenience using these systems. 

My goal throughout this first year with the credit union is to continue to learn more about your desires for new products and services, delivery channels and locations. To that end, we will be sending a survey to get your thoughts on all of these areas of focus in early January. In the meantime, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions and concerns.
